The research aims to analyse the feasibility of business development from the economic and financial aspects of tapioca crackers in the district of Kuala coastal Nagan Raya Regency with a population and samples as many as 15 tapioca crackers. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The data used is the primary data sourced from the results of a live interview with the business of tapioca crackers and secondary data obtained from the Central Statistical Agency (BPS) Nagan Raya District. The research methods in this study use qualitative, comparative descriptive techniques and data analysis models using the business feasibility analysis of the economic and financial aspects of the analysis tools used include profit analysis (Profit), Benefit Cost Ratio (B/R) analysis, point analysis Break Event Point, analysis of business impact on the community economy. The results showed that from 15 units obtained profit (Profit) on average of Rp 13,404,400 where the highest profit (Profit) obtained by the business of tapioca crackers Smooth crackers Rp 18.400.000 and profit (profit) lowest obtained by the effort of Tapioca sun crackers amounting to Rp 8,210,000 per month. Benefit Cost Ratio (B/R) > 1, Break Event Point which obtained in average unit of 6,920 kilogram in average of rupiah is about Rp 23,000 per kilogram. So it can be deduced 15 business units of tapioca crackers are worthy to continue to be developed. Keywords: business feasibility analysis, economic aspects, financial aspects

Abstract

Research aims to look for formulations how to overcome the price reduction of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) in Indonesia along with the movement of CPO Price in the international market so that smallholders and palm oil entrepreneurs can keep Revenue stability in its business sustainability. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The result of research obtained is the lack of demand (demand) that led to the accumulation of CPO (supply) in palm oil Mills (MCC). The accumulation of crude palm oil (CPO) becomes among the company's alibi as a justification for buying cheap prices of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) farmer oil palm. The instability of the European and United States economies, along with the time of harvest crops of other vegetable oil products, such AS sunflower, soy, and corn, encourages the decline in the price of CPO exports. The solution to overcome TBS price decline is to build the downstream CPO industry, the establishment of TBS Pengumpus cooperative and diversify by expanding the type of agricultural activities and multiply the type of crops on a land. Keywords: TBS price drop, CPO export price, formulation solution.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe how the paradigm qualitative and quantitative occur and its evolution concisely and the distinction between these two paradigm in the early days and particularly in the mid 1950’s which cause the paradigm wars on methodology and also epistemology point of view in the social science and economics dicipline. Both qualitative and quantitative significantly contribute in the social science overall. In addition to, the Nobel Prize winner in 1974Gunnar Myrdal inAsian Drama: An Inquiry Into the Poverty of Nations (1957) by using sociological frameworkand Garry S. Becker, winner of the 1992 economic Nobel in his doctoral dissertation Discrimination in the Market Place (1955) which included elements of crime, social conflicts (racial discrimination), and institutional economics in examining economic problems. The dichotomy of the qualitative and quantitative approaches is no longer relevant, because both have their advantages and disadvantages, in the qualitative approach the process of getting realistic data is quite good and comprehensive while in the quantitative approach provides a particularpicture or pictures of reality. Therefore, mixed method that can cover each other's shortcomings. Nevertheless, the process of obtaining truth is not just a methodological paradigm, but there is something called epistemological process so that the truth that is revealed as a science is describing an objective reality. Keywords: mixed method, qualitative and quantitative, triangulation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence, exchange rates and interest rates on economic growth. Inflation, exchange rates and interest rates are important variables in macroeconomics. This study uses time series data from 1980-2017. To see the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable, the Ordinary Least Square analysis model is used. The research results obtained: conversion, exchange rates and interest rates are negative and significant to economic growth. Increased inflation, the exchange rate and interest rates will contribute to a decline in economic growth. For this we need monetary policy that is able to provide stimulus to growth, a priority for increasing interest rates. Bank Indonesia as a monoteric authority holder can do it through monetary policy. Inflation and the exchange rate are the consequences of economic openness. Keywords: Inflation, Exchange Rates, Interest Rates and Economic Substitution

Abstract

The study aims to analyse the influence of revenue (which is derived from the gross domestic product data) and 3 month deposit interest rates on the demand for M1 and M2 money in Indonesia using quarterly data from 1992. I-2017. IV. Through the test of symmetry (Wald Statistics test) indicates that there is a shifting allocation of money demand from the demand for money M1 to M2 money demand. The analytical model used is the smallest quadratic method (OLS) and the SURE estimation model to test how much influence the dependent variable affects independent variables. The results of the study found that the use of the SURE model in this study was better and more efficient than using the smallest squared method model equation (OLS) because of the SURE method, evidenced by the standard (SE) and P-value (Prob) Errors of the SURE method are smaller than the standard error (SE) in the OLS method and all P-values of the two equations that are estimated through the SURE model are the magnitude of α < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a contemporary correlation between faults or residues of different equations. Furthermore, regression analysis results showed that the income variables had a positive and significant influence on the demand for money for M1 and M2, while 3-month deposit interest rates had negative and significant effects on money demand for M1 and M2.Keywords: Money request, income, 3 months deposit interest rate, OLS, SURE.
